SHARP UNVEILS INDUSTRY'S LARGEST LIQUID CRYSTAL TV LINE; CUTTING-EDGE CONSUMER ELECTRONICS PRODUCTS
Sharp, the number-one global manufacturer of Liquid Crystal televisions, reaffirms its dominant position at CES 2004 with the introduction of its broadest and most innovative line. Complementing Sharp’s leadership position is a broad range of products, including the world’s first available 45-inch widescreen LC-TV, that fit perfectly with today’s digital lifestyles.
With flat-panel TV choices that simply cannot be matched by any competitor, Sharp intends to be the leading global manufacturer of LC-TVs for years to come, said Bob Scaglione, Vice President of Marketing, Consumer Electronics Group, Sharp. When our new 100 billion yen factory in Kameyana, Japan opens this month, we will be able to build four times as many larger screen LC-TVs with unmatched picture quality.
Featuring a veritable forest of AQUOS Liquid Crystal Televisions ranging from 13- to 45-inch screen sizes, the CES 2004 Sharp Electronics booth is also packed with advanced digital technologies that complement the flat-panel TV revolution and one-of-a-kind new digital technologies sweeping the consumer electronics industry.
Highlights include the stylish 1-Bit Home Theater audio systems that seamlessly blend aesthetically and technologically with flat panel TVs, DLP-based front projectors, and HDTV decoders for AQUOS TVs. Also on display are camcorders designed for widescreen TVs and innovative combination DVD recorders with hard disc drives that let consumers easily archive their favorite TV shows and home videos.
