Market leader voted by end-users as the leading projector company in the region
InFocus Corporation, the worldwide leader in digital projection, announced today it was voted by end-user as the leading projector company in Asia. InFocus was voted as the top projector company in the region, winning the Gold Award in the Peripherals category in the 2001 Annual eWeek Award Readers' Choice Survey. This prestigious recognition further solidifies InFocus' leadership in the digital projection industry and demonstrates the company's continuous commitment to exceed market expectations by providing superior products as well as services through its established channels network.
The annual eWeek Asia Readers Choice Survey organised by one of the leading IT industry's publication, eWeek Asia, selects the top Software, Internet/eBusiness, Security, Storage, Networking, Peripherals and Systems products and services of leading IT hardware and software vendors. eWeek Asia readers are asked to rate the products in terms of five main criteria: features and technology, product quality and reliability, technical and customer support, price performance and brand awareness.
"Our readers, consisting of decision makers in the IT industry in Asia, voted for their preferred products in ten categories of peripherals. They completed survey forms circulated in both April 8th print and online edition of eWeek Asia. The votes are tallied and each vendor's final score is determined by a formulaic calculation," said Charlotte McIntosh, eWeek Asia's Editor.
eWeek readers gave InFocus high scores in terms of brand awareness, technical and customer support, allowing the company to bag the Gold Award in the Peripherals category. This is the third consecutive year InFocus has been voted as the leading projector company in the said category. The winners are officially announced in the 22 July-Aug 7 issue of eWeek Asia.
"This is the third year in a row that we have been selected by readers of eWeek Asia as a winner in the projector category, validating our leadership in the market," said Thomas Mills, Vice-President and General Manager of InFocus Asia-Pacific. "As the technology and global worldwide market leader in projectors, InFocus has accumulated substantial experience in understanding multiple projection technologies and our customer needs. Our intimate understanding of these two areas have made InFocus stood out from competition as we are able to use our understanding of multiple projection technologies to build the right solution for different customer needs," continued Mr Mills.
An example of InFocus intimate understanding of the customer's needs is InFocus' introduction of the LP130. Weighing just 1.36kg and smaller than an A4 paper, InFocus' latest mobile projector is designed for the image-conscious road warrior. With no compromises on projector features, offering full data and video functions, XGA resolution, a high brightness of 1100 lumens, DLP‘ technology from Texas Instruments and digital connectivity, the LP130 is the ideal projector companion to the mobile executive's entourage of notebook PCs and Personal Digital Appliances.
Today, most leading global companies use InFocus digital projectors. These include Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, JD Edwards Enterprise Software, Microsoft, Motorola, PeopleSoft. Renowned organizations and institutions in the Asia-Pacific region like Bank of China, China International Capital Corporation, PCCW, Hong Kong University and Monash University are also using InFocus projectors.
