for the corporate A/V conferencing and fixed installation.
"This

of the VPL-FE110 with an additional advanced feature
of the network capability. With a built-in web browser,
the VPL-FX50 provides a seamless "bridge"
between corporate intranets and mid-size meeting rooms,
boardrooms, auditoriums and lecture theatres,"
said Akio Fujii, Department Manager, Display Division
of Broadcast and Professional Products Asia Company,
Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Ltd.
Moreover,
speakers can take their presentations straight through
network to screen without needing to bring a PC along.
Thus, pre?prepared PowerPoint presentations, graphics,
pictures files such as jpeg, gif, bmp can be downloaded
directly into the VPL-FX50, and web sites can be viewed
on the built-in web browser when connected to a data
network via the projector's integral LAN port
In
the art of imaging, Sony offers XGA resolution images
with an unprecedented 3500 ANSI lumens
brightness - an extremely high light output from a stylish
and sleekly-designed unit weighing just 10.5kg and experiencing
whisper quite during operation. In addition to the projector's
advanced networking functions, presentation features
like digital zoom and freeze frame that can enhance
audience impact is achieved.
The
VPL-FX50 is capable of accepting and automatically adapting
to a wide variety of input video signal sources, as
well as the very high-end multi-media application: 2?3
Pull Down conversion for frame-accurate reproduction
of film sources. Moreover, it is equipped with a newly
enhancement function for ultra-sharp reproduction of
RGB video images and new interface, DVI interface for
digital RGB equipped in the future PC.
In
order to get this product to the fixed installation
markets, VPL-FX50 includes flexible mounting options,
3 optional lenses, twin stack operation and digital
keystone adjustment to compensate for tilted projection
angle.
With
its ability to check lamp hours, predicted failures
and other indicators via the network without requiring
physical access to the projector itself, "network
ready" design philosophy allows presenters not
to waste any time manually to adjust the projector.
Administrators and A/V consultants can thus maintain
an accurate overview of system status at all times,
even from a remote location.
With
the VPL-FX50, presentations have at last become a seamless
extension of existing corporate networks. Coupled with
the superb brightness, picture quality and flexibility
of the VPL-FX50, it adds up to one of the most comprehensively
equipped Sony LCD projector line-up.
