JVC DILA Projector – User-Friendly Design
JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY
today announced the release of its latest DILA (Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier)
projector, the DLA-SX21. The new projector is ideal for applications such as
simulators, 3D engineering, architectural visualization, CAD, conferences, boardrooms,
ad hoc meetings in corporations and universities, and for use in upscale home
theaters.
With the highest native
1400 x 1050 resolution (1400 x 788 in 16:9 mode), three 0.7” D-ILA devices
and high contrast of 800:1, the DLA-SX21 sets new standards of high performance
video/cinema projection in its price category.
The DLA-SX21 features a
new optical engine based on D-ILA technology. New polarized beam splitters perform
color separation of the light source by modifying polarization depending on
the color. Red, green and blue (RGB) components are modulated by polarization
with three D-ILA devices, each 1.5 million pixels. The RGB components are mixed
together within the same optical device, minimizing dissipation in the light
path, improving contrast ratio and eliminating dust exposure. The D-ILA optical
engine produces flicker-free, smooth, film-like images with more realistic color,
1500 ANSI lumens and a virtually invisible pixel grid.
The DLA-SX21 accepts NTSC,
PAL and all HDTV formats plus 1080 24p, 25p, 30p and 24pSF, ensuring compatibility
with a wide variety of sources and applications. Third generation scaler along
with JVC DIST (Digital Image Scaling Technology) provides sophisticated de-interlacing
and scaling algorithms for DVD and HDTV formats.
“The DLA-SX21 delivers
over the top performance with new and enhanced technological features,”
said Bob Mueller, executive vice president of JVC, “Elements such as the
D-ILA and PBS technologies provide optimum image projection for the most demanding
applications.”
The DLA-SX21’s user-friendly
design allows easy installation and portability. Weighing only 5.5 kg (12 lbs.),
the high-resolution projector can be carried anywhere.
