Portable Desktop Projector – Low Lamp Cost
NEC Solutions, Inc. today unveiled a new projector which offers the industry’s lowest total cost of ownership to date, the VT46. The new VT Series projector features a $995US estimated street price along with a low $299US lamp cost and up to 3000 hours of lamp life. The VT46 builds upon the design of NEC’s PC Magazine Editor’s Choice-winning VT460 projector to offer classroom, meeting room and multi-purpose users an affordable portable/desktop projector featuring NEC’s industry-leading product quality and reliability.
“NEC’s aim is to offer cost-conscious users a greater return on investment by making the communication and learning advantages of high-performance projection technology more affordable,” said Ron Gillies, senior vice president for NEC Solutions, Visual Systems Division. “With the VT46, NEC makes this goal a reality.”
The VT46 is easy for first-time users to operate, with color-coded inputs and one-touch setup and operation. At only 6.6 lbs., it is highly portable, and its superb video quality makes it an attractive option for low-cost home entertainment and multi-purpose use in addition to office and training applications. The 1200 ANSI lumen, SVGA native resolution projector offers tremendous flexibility, supporting computer resolutions from SVGA through UXGA and supporting an array of video sources including HDTV, component video, s-video and composite video. It also offers the quietest operation in its class at only 32dB.
