Portable Multimedia LCD Projectors – New Additions
SANYO Fisher Company's Presentation Technologies Division, whose parent company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of LCD projectors, today announced the addition of the PLC-XP55/L and PLC-XP50/L to its family of portable multimedia LCD projectors.
Weighing less than 20 pounds, the PLC-XP55/L and PLC-XP50/L combine a 300-watt NSH lamp with SANYO’s high-contrast optical system to produce an impressive 4500 and 3600 ANSI lumens, respectively, and solid contrast ratio of 1100:1 and 750:1, correspondingly. Both units offer an XGA native resolution of 1024 x 768 and produce crisp, clean images up to 400 inches diagonally.
Available with the new projectors is the optional PJ-Net Organizer Plus, SANYO’s new wired networking system, which provides advanced tools for the control and administration of one or more projectors from a single computer using a web browser. With the Web Management feature, users can monitor functions such as power status, lamp status, input mode, signal condition, lamp-use time, and more. E-Mail Alert notifies the network administrator if any system failure occurs, allowing the administrator to act quickly to resolve the issue.
The optional PJ-Net Organizer Plus also allows the transfer of image data from a PC through the network to the projector. The Image Capture Mode allows for real-time image capture and transmission. In the Network Viewer mode, image data can be called up from a network server, converted using the included software, and controlled and presented on the networked projector.
To ensure brilliant presentations, SANYO’s color management system allows users to change the shading of a specific color in the image to a desired shade without affecting other colors or adjustment items such as tint or white balance. Furthermore, SANYO’s optional Real Color Manager System allows white balance adjustment and gamma correction from a PC using the included image adjustment software. By simply comparing the on-screen image to a printed color chart, users can be confident their audience will enjoy an eye-catching presentation.
Also, the PLC-XP55/L and PLC-XP50/L utilize SANYO’s newly developed progressive integrated circuit which provides highly improved playback of moving images. 1080 interlaced signals are converted into progressive signals while 3-2 pull down doubles the resolution of images from DVD playback. In addition, the digital visual interface (DVI-D) of the projectors is High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) compliant for playback of encrypted digital video sources.
Adding convenience to performance, the PLC-XP55/L and PLC-XP50/L come equipped with SANYO’s new one-touch interchangeable lens system, making installation and removal of optional lenses, including short zoom and long zoom, quick and easy.
The PLC-XP55/L and PLC-XP50/L are backed by a three-year parts and labor warranty as well as a 90-day warranty on the lamp and is available through SANYO’s national network of professional audiovisual dealers.
